Today, in a rapid-fire release following the new iOS 8.1.2 firmware, the Chinese-based TaiG dev team updated their utility of the same name for complete support with iOS 8.1.2 – TaiG can now fully Jailbreak 8.1.2 Untethered. This is an incredible time to Jailbreak the latest public firmware or to make the leap from 8.1 if you’ve been holding off on Jailbreaking 8.1.x until now. With that said, let’s proceed with the new iOS 8.1.2 Jailbreak tutorial!

For those of you who are either own iOS-based devices running 8.0 through 8.1 and you’re not interested in updating or for those of you who own a Macs, follow my Untethered one-click Jailbreak 8.1 guide, which includes Mac OS X support.

This tutorial will guide you in the right direction to Jailbreak 8.1.2 using the latest TaiG utility for all iOS 8-based devices, including the iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 4S, the 5th generation iPod touch, Apple’s A8X iPad Air 2, the new iPad mini 3, the original iPad Air, the Retina iPad mini 2, iPad 4, iPad 3 and, last but not least, the iPad 2.

For those of you who updated to the current iteration of iOS 8 your iDevice is currently running, be it 8.1, 8.1.1 or 8.1.2, via Apple’s over-the-air or OTA update option that’s built into the Settings app – you must follow the prerequisite steps outlined

Mac Update: Thankfully, a group by the name of PP issued (likely using TaiG’s exploits) a new utility for Mac OS X to Jailbreak iOS 8 through 8.1.2 – the download link for said utility can be found below.

Step 1. Ensure that you’ve downloaded all of the required components for the iOS 8.1.2 Jailbreak in the download section below.

Step 2. For now, follow the entire Jailbreak process as detailed in my in-depth iOS 8.1.x TaiG tutorial, which has been updated to reflect support for the new 8.1.2 firmware.

Congratulations, after having completed a couple of simple steps, and watching my above video tutorial, you will have successfully Jailbroken your iPad, iPod touch or iPhone running iOS 8.1.2!
